Unusually in this line of work, I'm female and I'm fairly young.
As a teenager I did some work experience with a funeral director and immediately realised I'd found my calling. I began studying at THE YORKSHIRE SCHOOL OF EMBALMING.
After four years I passed all my exams to become a QUALIFIED EMBALMER.
Next I trained in Norfolk where after another four or so years I became a FULLY-QUALIFIED FUNERAL DIRECTOR.
Shortly after opening my own small independent business in York in December 2015 I was honoured to become chairwoman of the Yorkshire division of the BRITISH INSTITUTE OF EMBALMERS, a post I held for a year.
Since December 2015 I have built up my business and arranged hundreds of burials and cremations.
I often work seven days a week will and go to great lengths to give families exactly what they want for a loved one's funeral.
I am happy to discuss arrangements in the comfort of your own home or in my office . I can take care of everything, from a simple cremation to a burial at sea.
I can help with all kinds of funeral, from the more traditional to 'green' and bespoke involving the likes of horse-drawn carriages and motorcycle hearses.
I can also advise on setting up pre-payment funeral plans with PERFECT CHOICE.
The National Association of Funeral Directors believes Perfect Choice funeral plans are the most robust and professionally-managed pre-payment funeral plans available
Please feel free to search for a funeral director who suits your needs, but please be aware, not all funeral directors are QUALIFIED. I am!
Unfortunately, in this country there are no regulations or restrictions on who can conduct a funeral. Anyone can set themselves up in business so please check this before you choose a funeral director. Ask to see their qualifications.
Finally, feel free to look at my GOOGLE, FUNERAL ZONE and FACEBOOK REVIEWS and see what previous families have said about my services.
Thank you for taking the time to read about me. Please feel free to call or pop in any time if you feel my colleagues and I can help, in any way, during your time of need.
