Planning ahead
Not everyone wants to pre-pay for their funeral in advance by taking out a funeral plan, but you may still like to put some of your wishes in place so that those close to you know what you would like after you die. By planning ahead, you’ll save your next of kin and loved ones the stress of trying to second-guess what you would have wanted for your funeral.
Print out and complete our My Funeral Wishes booklet to help you guide your loved ones in the organisation of your funeral, ensuring it reflects what is important to you and your family. They’ll find great comfort in knowing your funeral is carried out the way you would like.
Please remember that funeral wishes are not enforceable after you die. Therefore it’s always important to discuss your wishes with the people who matter beforehand. Make sure they know what you would like to happen and that they know where this booklet is kept.
A funeral is an occasion for your family and friends to express their grief and celebrate your life, so fill in as much as you feel able to. If you would like to nominate us as your funeral director, feel free to send us a copy of your wishes and we will store them also. If you are unable to print a copy out yourself, please call us on 01904 792525 and we will send you a copy in the post.
